Musician, producer and DJ who specialises in Jazz and Broken Beat. Goldbar is a London-based DJ, producer and pianist originally from Maidenhead. With over two decades of piano training, including graduating from the London College of Music, his sound is rooted in improvisation, deep harmony, rhythmic complexity and groove. Bridging live instrumentation with club culture, Goldbar operates across the spectrum of jazz, bruk and soulful electronic music. His collaborations span a growing network of UK artists, including Last Nubian, Olivier Night, Mark Force, Donsurf and Victoria Port. He is also part of the collaborative band project Ships Of The Pharaohs, which has appeared at key London events and festivals such as Brick Lane Jazz Festival, Jazz on Wick and We Out Here. A regular presence on the capital’s airwaves, Goldbar holds a monthly residency on Aaja Radio in Deptford, where he showcases forward-thinking selections and original material. As a DJ, his sets reflect his musical background—fluid, soulful and deeply rooted in the dancefloor, while retaining a live, human feel. Alongside performing, Goldbar is an active community builder—bringing musicians together through his band, recording projects and independently run events. Having taught piano and music for over a decade, he remains committed to supporting the next generation of artists. This ethos carries into his event curation, from grassroots shows in Maidenhead to his latest London event at Aaja Radio raising funds for Youth Music. With a sound that sits at the intersection of jazz heritage and London’s evolving broken beat scene, Goldbar continues to carve out a space that is both musically rich and community-driven.
