Bio
Golden Turtle is a Melbourne, Australia-based progressive rock duo formed around a concept inspired by a dream of a space turtle carrying galaxies in its shell. The project began when members Luke Hickey and Andrew Tomich wrote their debut album 10 Chiefs in 2018–2019, later completing the recordings with contributions from fellow musicians in 2021–2022. The band, often abbreviated as GT, blends psychedelic, jazz-infused progressive rock with groove, funk, and electronic elements, creating expansive, genre-crossing music characterized by rich instrumentation and imaginative songwriting. Their releases include 10 Chiefs (2022) and So True (2025).
