Bio
Good Charlotte is an iconic American pop‑punk/rock band formed in 1996 in Waldorf, Maryland by twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, with bassist Paul Thomas and guitarist/keyboardist Billy Martin. They rose to global fame in the early 2000s with breakthrough hits like “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous,” “The Anthem,” and “Girls & Boys,” driven by their energetic blend of punk attitude and catchy pop melodies. Their 2002 album The Young and the Hopeless propelled them into mainstream success with multiple charting singles. After a period focusing on solo and other projects, they released the album Motel Du Cap in 2025 — their first record in seven years — and announced a world tour including dates across Australia and New Zealand in early 2026. Good Charlotte’s music has been celebrated for its relatable lyrics, youth‑centered themes, and lasting influence on the pop‑punk genre.
