Bio
Growth is an Australian atmospheric death metal band formed in 2017 as a creative outlet for exploring themes of trauma, grief, illness, and personal transformation. Their music combines crushing heaviness with emotional depth, reflecting on both suffering and the difficult process of healing. Following the release of their acclaimed debut album, *The Smothering Arms of Mercy* (2020), the band continued to evolve their sound with *Under The Under* (2026), expanding their blend of dense, atmospheric compositions and emotionally charged songwriting. Growth has earned recognition within Australia's extreme metal scene for crafting immersive, introspective music that balances aggression with haunting melody.
