Bio
Guilt Trip is a hardcore/metal crossover band from Manchester, England, known for combining heavy metal riffs with hardcore intensity and explosive live energy. They formed in 2015 when childhood friends Jay Valentine (vocals) and Jak Maden (guitar) joined forces with drummer Tom Aimson, guitarist Sam Baker and bassist Lily Kilcoyne. The band built their reputation one gig at a time, starting in small basement shows and DIY venues before releasing their Unrelenting Force EP (2016) and debut full‑length album River of Lies (2019). The latter featured the track Thin Ice, which gained millions of streams. Their 2023 album Severance marked a milestone, earning attention for its blend of thrash metal, old‑school hardcore and modern breakdown‑heavy deathcore and collaborations with artists like LANDMVRKS and Malevolence. In 2025 they signed with Roadrunner Records, releasing the single Burn and working toward a debut album on the label — a move that signals their growth on the global heavy music stage. They’re also touring internationally, including as support on Justice For The Damned’s 2026 Australian tour.
