Bio
Gusto Gusto is a seven‑piece instrumental band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, known for their high‑energy, dance‑friendly music that blends a wide range of global influences. Drawing on elements of folk, funk, afrobeat, jazz, latin, and world music, the group’s sound is built around violin, trumpet, clarinet, accordion, guitar, bass, and drums, creating lively instrumental compositions designed to get people moving and fill dance floors. The band formed in West Preston and quickly became a fixture on Australia’s festival circuit — performing at events including Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), Port Fairy Folk Festival (VIC), Dark MOFO (TAS) and internationally at Glastonbury Festival (UK). Their explosive debut album *…To The Ocean They Returned* (2024) charted at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and their forthcoming *Tyrannosauroborus* (2026) continues to expand their genre‑blending style. The band is celebrated for its joyful live shows, crowd participation, raucous instrumental energy, and a blend of musical traditions that make their performances unpredictable and fun.
