Gutrectomy is a German extreme metal band from Lörrach, Baden-Württemberg, formed in 2011. The band started as a brutal death metal/slam project and later evolved toward a slamming deathcore sound, combining heavy breakdowns with brutal slam riffs. The group was founded by Philip Dahlenburg (guitar) and Yannick Schuler (drums), with Dennis Schuler (vocals) and Daniel Mahler (bass) completing the original lineup. Gutrectomy gained attention in the underground extreme-metal scene with their 2014 debut EP Slamageddon, followed by their first full-length album Slampocalypse (2017). Later releases such as Manifestation of Human Suffering (2022) and Angst (2025) further established them within the brutal deathcore and slam community. Their music is known for extreme heaviness, guttural vocals, brutal breakdowns, and fast blast-beat drumming, and they have performed at European metal festivals such as Party.San Open Air and Summer Breeze.
