Hashira is an up and coming London based Artist/DJ. With several releases and with the start of a new mix series, he is keen to make his mark in electronic music. Hashira’s sound spans a wide spectrum within house music with sonic elements and vocals from the minimal and deep tech genres to create vibrant, dance focused tracks. He has just released Boxer Grooves, a 4 track EP with underground rave elements and tight beats. Following on from his previous EP, Super G, Hashira’s sound continues to evolve. A new episode of In the House with Hashira is due for September, a Youtube mix series started by the artist which has amassed over 160k views on Youtube. Showcasing different flavours in the mix, the next episode is highly anticipated. Hashira will be playing a number of festivals and shows over the next few months including Obscura Festival in Cornwall alongside industry veterans such as The Orb, Plaid and Culprate. He will be showcasing an Artist set in Lewisham supporting The Orb and also play a more club orientated set at the Tribe Summer Closing party in Shoreditch. Releasing on the Daytimer’s collective last year with his track ‘Spicy Malai’, he received press and radio play across the BBC as the collective continues to grow. Playing his first show at Revival 2021 in the summer he continues to collaborate and release with artists such as dilushselva, with their track ‘Tunturi’. With growing streams across all platforms, Hashira is keen to make his mark and his track ‘Cascade’ has been featured on Spotify’s Soultronic Editorial Playlist and is approaching 200k streams. Looking into the future, he is going to release a vinyl album next year under the Orbscure label, a sub-label of The Orb, with his unreleased songs that are more electronic. As well as releasing music, Hashira is keen to run his own events and parties under the Club Kenley Label, his own imprint for the finest electronic music. Collaborating with in-house soundsystem crew, Mandrill Sound, Hashira continues to explore various avenues. Music has always been a large part of his life, and Hashira became serious with the evolution of his sound around seven years ago. He explored various avenues including producing his own music across different genres, making beats, DJing as well as collaborating with like-minded artists. With influences from the early rave scene in the 90s such as Speedy J, CJ Bolland, Dave Angel, Detroit masters like Juan Atkins, Derrick May & UK legends; The Black Dog and Jedi Knights. Hashira wants to create a new sound for the dancefloor with a modern, urban edge.
