Bio
Hawthorne Heights are an American emo and post-hardcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Emerging during the mid-2000s emo explosion, they became one of the defining acts of the scene with emotionally charged lyrics, melodic hooks, and a mix of pop-punk and heavier post-hardcore energy. Best known for anthems like *“Ohio Is for Lovers”* and *“Saying Sorry,”* the band built a loyal global following through their raw, heartfelt songwriting and high-energy live shows. Across multiple lineup changes and label shifts, Hawthorne Heights have continued evolving while staying rooted in their signature blend of emo, alternative rock, and screamo-influenced sound. They remain a staple of the early 2000s emo era and continue to tour and release music for both long-time fans and newer generations discovering the genre.
