Bio
Hazards of Swimming Naked are an instrumental post-rock band originally from Far North Queensland and now based in Brisbane. Formed as a five-piece, the band creates cinematic, expansive soundscapes inspired by the tropical landscapes of their hometown, blending atmospheric textures with powerful crescendos. Drawing influence from Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mono, and Explosions in the Sky, their music fuses post-rock, ambient passages, and doom-infused heaviness into immersive instrumental compositions. Their dynamic live performances and acclaimed releases have established them as one of Australia's notable instrumental post-rock acts.
