Bio
Horsepower is a Melbourne-based hardcore band formed by longtime friends. They released their Demo 2022 through Life Lair Regret Records, marking themselves as part of the new wave of Melbourne hardcore. Their 2024 EP A Tear or Two leans into raw hardcore energy and punk intensity. Guitarist Nath, vocalist Dermott, and drummer Dean have spoken about discovering hardcore by accident, forming the band in a shared garage, and writing music that feels true to their friendships and personal history. Despite being heavy and aggressive, they emphasize that having fun and staying close to their roots is at the core of their music.
