Hosca is the solo project of David Torres, an Australian DJ, producer and music curator whose work reflects over 20 years of producing, playing and collecting music. He’s active in Sydney’s (Eora) underground club scene, where his meticulous track research and genre-defying sets take listeners on immersive musical journeys across soundscapes that blend experimental and club-oriented styles. As a DJ, Hosca is known for his attention to detail in selection and polished technique, often playing extended sets that traverse diverse rhythms and textures. He’s also part of collaborative live projects (such as Goose & Hosca) and participates in creative collectives like Moral Laxa, appearing at local venues and underground parties while helping shape Sydney’s electronic music culture. He’s performed both locally in Sydney and internationally — including shows in Osaka — and has releases and affiliations with labels such as MixCult Records.
