Bio
Hoss are an Australian hard rock band formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 1990. The group was founded by guitarist and lead vocalist Joel Silbersher along with bassist Scott Bailey and early lineup members from Melbourne’s vibrant rock scene. They emerged as part of the city’s 1990s underground rock circuit, releasing a series of gritty, high‑energy albums — including *Guzzle* (1990), *You Get Nothing* (1992), *Bring on the Juice* (1993), *Everyday Lies* (1995) and *Do You Leave Here Often?* (1998). Their sound blends influences from 1970s garage and boogie hard rock with stripped‑down, raucous rock ’n’ roll energy, earning them a loyal following and critical respect within Australia’s rock community. The band has maintained a strong reputation for uncompromising live shows and enduring presence in the local scene since their debut.
