Bio
Human Nature is one of Australia’s most enduring and successful pop vocal groups, formed in 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales. They began as a schoolmates’ doo‑wop quartet called *The 4 Trax*, then signed with Sony Music and rebranded as Human Nature, launching their professional career in the mid‑1990s. The quartet consists of Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney, whose tight harmonies and polished performances helped them break through especially with their debut album *Telling Everybody* in 1996, which spawned several hit singles. Over their career they’ve scored multiple ARIA Albums Chart #1 records and top‑10 singles in Australia. In the 2000s, Human Nature expanded their sound by embracing Motown classics and later built a long‑running Motown‑themed residency in Las Vegas, performing hundreds of shows internationally. They were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2019 and were also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for their contribution to performing arts.
