Bio
I Prevail is an American rock band formed in Southfield, Michigan in 2013. The band rose to international attention after releasing a heavy rock/metal cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” in 2014, which became a viral hit and was later certified platinum in the United States. Following the success of their breakout single, I Prevail released their debut EP Heart vs. Mind in 2014 before expanding their sound across albums such as Lifelines (2016), Trauma (2019), True Power (2022), and Violent Nature (2025). Their music blends aggressive metalcore instrumentation with melodic hooks, electronic production, rap influences, and emotionally driven lyrics. The band has earned Grammy nominations for songs like “Bow Down” and for their album Trauma, while building a strong reputation for high-energy live performances and modern heavy rock production. Over the years, I Prevail has toured with major rock and metal acts and become one of the most commercially successful modern metalcore bands from the United States. Their sound is commonly associated with subgenres including metalcore, post-hardcore, hard rock, nu metal, and alternative metal, often mixing clean vocals, screams, electronic textures, and hip-hop-inspired elements.
