INJI (born İnci Gürün on January 2, 2001) is a Turkish‑born singer‑songwriter and electronic/pop artist currently based in the United States. She rose to global prominence after her self‑released singles “Gaslight” and “Madeline” went viral on TikTok in 2022, accumulating billions of views and propelling her into the spotlight. Originally trained in classical piano and music theory in Istanbul, INJI later sang in jazz groups while studying at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Her early exposure to diverse musical styles laid the groundwork for her bold approach to pop and electronic dance music. She released her debut EP LFG in 2023 via Polydor/Astralwerks, which features high‑energy, dance‑ready tracks with tongue‑in‑cheek lyrics and catchy hooks. Her music blends dance‑pop, electronic beats and club‑inspired production, and songs like “The One,” “Bored,” and “Untz Untz” have been embraced by streaming audiences and DJs alike. INJI’s style is known for its playful, confident persona, club appeal and lyrical wit — turning everyday experiences into anthems for partying, empowerment and self‑expression. She continues to grow as an international artist, performing live and releasing new music including her mixtape SUPERLAME in 2025.
