Bio
Ixaras (born Ixara Dorizac) is a queer indie-pop/rock singer-songwriter from Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia. At a young age she’s built a reputation for her raw lyricism, genre-blending sound, and energetic live performances. She first came to wider attention as a finalist in Triple J Unearthed High (2023), then released her debut EP Full Lover Fake Friend in 2024. Her music often deals with themes of young love, identity, growing up, and self-discovery. Ixaras is also deeply involved in building community and access around live music. She founded her own all-ages label/event collective called Anti-Dismal, aiming to make live music more accessible for youth. Her recent singles like Fresh Figure, Sprouts, This City, and Do U Like Girls? showcase her evolving sound — more ambitious, genre-bending, mixing indie rock, pop, synth, and experimental textures
