Jane Weaver is an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Liverpool known for her distinctive blend of psychedelic pop, indie rock, and experimental electronic sounds. She first gained attention in the 1990s as the vocalist and guitarist for the band Kill Laura before beginning a solo career in the early 2000s. After releasing her debut solo album Like an Aspen Leaf in 2002, Weaver gradually developed a reputation for crafting atmospheric, forward-thinking pop music influenced by krautrock, folk, and vintage psychedelia. Her breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed album The Silver Globe (2014), which established her as a leading figure in the UK’s modern psychedelic and experimental pop scene. She later released a series of well-received albums including Modern Kosmology (2017) and Flock (2021), continuing to explore shimmering synth textures, hypnotic rhythms, and dreamlike melodies. Beyond her solo work, Weaver has collaborated with artists such as Badly Drawn Boy and has been an active contributor to the UK independent music community for over two decades.
