Jani Ho is a Melbourne-based electronic music producer and DJ originally born in Finland and raised in New York before settling in Australia. Drawing on influences from early New York house, Detroit techno and jazz, he has developed a distinctive “machine music with soul” sound centred on hardware-driven live performance and improvisation. Active since the late 1990s, he founded the Finn Audio label as an outlet for his productions and to support emerging artists, while releasing on numerous international imprints including Dolly, Machine Label, Soiree Records International and Detroit Underground. His energetic live sets have taken him across Europe, Asia and the United States, including appearances at Detroit’s Movement Festival, and he has shared stages with figures such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Underground Resistance. Recognised as a key figure within Melbourne’s electronic scene, Jani Ho blends techno, electro and house elements with jazz-informed musicality, delivering immersive performances that connect dance-floor energy with experimental sound design.
