Bio
Jazz Jamaica was formed in London in the early 1990s by bassist and arranger **Gary Crosby**. The project was created to celebrate the deep musical links between **Jamaican popular music (ska, reggae, rocksteady)** and **jazz traditions**. Over time, Jazz Jamaica evolved into a large ensemble often called the **Jazz Jamaica All Stars**, featuring a rotating lineup of leading UK jazz and reggae musicians. They have become a staple of the British jazz and world music scene, performing at major festivals and venues, and are closely associated with the UK’s **modern jazz fusion movement**.
