Bio
Jebediah is a Perth-based alternative rock band formed in 1994, made up of Kevin Mitchell, Chris Daymond, Vanessa Thornton, and Brett Mitchell. They rose to fame in the late 1990s with hits like “Leaving Home” and “Jerks of Attention,” becoming staples of Australia’s indie and alt-rock scene. Their debut album Slightly Odway (1997) became a cult classic, leading to national tours and festival appearances. They followed up with successful albums including Of Someday Shambles (1999) and Jebediah (2002), known for their melodic guitar riffs, catchy choruses, and energetic live shows. After a long hiatus, they returned in 2024 with their sixth album Oiks — their first in 13 years — and a national tour, reaffirming their legacy as one of Australia’s most beloved alternative rock bands.
