Bio
Jug (real name Adrian Nicholson) is an Australian-born electronic DJ and producer who has been active in underground dance music since the early 2000s. He moved to the UK in 2002 driven by his passion for electronic sounds and a desire to host his own events, leading him to launch the Digital Beanbag club night in London in 2004, which featured both local talent and rising international artists. His musical influences include Detroit techno, Hardfloor, Kit Clayton and southern Italian techno, and his sets are designed to deliver deep, grooving and compelling dancefloor experiences. After years in the UK scene, he eventually returned to Australia around 2009, continuing to explore and contribute to the local underground music community. Jug has released music on independent labels such as Multi Vitamins, Clever Music, Autoreply and Vitalik Recordings, showcasing his work as a producer as well as a selector.
