Bio
Kalandra is a Scandinavian folk‐rock collective formed in 2011, comprised of musicians from Norway and Sweden. The band is led by vocalist and songwriter Katrine Stenbekk, whose ethereal voice guides the group’s immersive soundscapes. Their music blends melancholic Nordic folk traditions with gritty electric guitars, atmospheric rock, and Scandipop sensibilities. Kalandra’s debut album, The Line (2020), featured their breakthrough cover of Wardruna’s “Helvegen” (which achieved millions of views). Their second album, A Frame of Mind (2024), deepened their exploration of themes such as memory, identity, and personal evolution. Kalandra have toured extensively throughout Europe and made their debut Australian tour in November 2025. They’ve shared stages with major acts like Leprous and Eivør, and performed at festivals including Hellfest and Midgardsblot.
