Kashus Culpepper is a rising American country singer‑songwriter from Alexander City, Alabama, known for his soulful blend of country, soul, blues, folk, and rock. He grew up singing in church and first learned guitar during the COVID‑19 pandemic while serving in the U.S. Navy, beginning by playing covers at bonfires and quickly transitioning to writing and performing his own songs. Culpepper’s music features his distinctive husky, sandpaper growl and heartfelt songwriting rooted in Southern traditions. After performing in dive bars around the U.S. Gulf Coast and building a following, he signed with Big Loud Records and released singles like After Me?, Who Hurt You and Out of My Mind, leading up to his debut album Act I released on 23 January 2026. Recognised as one of GRAMMY.com’s 25 Artists to Watch, he’s played major festivals and stages internationally — including CMC Rocks in Australia and the C2C festival in the UK — and is scheduled for shows across Australian cities in 2026, including support slots on tours with Wyatt Flores and other headline artists.
