Khan are a Melbourne-based Australian heavy psychedelic and progressive rock band known for blending crushing stoner riffs, atmospheric post-rock, and expansive progressive songwriting. Formed in 2016 by friends Josh Bills, Beau Heffernan, and Mitch Kerr, the band has built a strong following in the international underground heavy music scene through immersive live shows and ambitious concept-driven releases. Their music combines hazy psychedelia, slow-burning crescendos, and emotionally intense vocals that range from ethereal melodies to harsh screams. Early releases like *On Silent Space* and *Vale* introduced a progressive psychedelic sound, while later albums such as *Monsoons* and *Creatures* expanded into darker, heavier territory with post-rock and doom influences. Khan have toured extensively across Australia and Europe, performing at festivals including Desertfest Berlin, Desertfest London, Sonic Whip, Dunk!festival, and Spliffs N’ Riffs. Their fourth album, *That Fair and Warlike Form // Return to Dust*, is a large-scale concept record inspired by Turkic and Mongolian mythology.
