Bio
King Parrot is a wild and uncompromising Australian extreme metal band from Melbourne, formed in 2010. Known for their ferocious mix of grindcore, thrash and hardcore punk, the band built a fierce reputation through relentless touring and chaotic, high-energy live shows. Fronted by Matt “Youngy” Young, King Parrot deliver raw aggression with a twisted sense of humour and unapologetic Aussie attitude. They’ve toured globally, shared stages with bands like Pantera, Soulfly and Psycroptic, and released acclaimed albums including Bite Your Head Off, Dead Set and Ugly Produce. In 2025, they returned with their explosive new record A Young Person’s Guide to King Parrot, proving they remain one of Australia’s most brutal and entertaining heavy bands.
