Bio
Kisa, the soul-healing selector of pan-African collective ‘Sample Chief’ and resident DJ for London-based ‘Utopia’ parties, weaves a tapestry of sounds that transcend genres and generations. Raised on a diverse musical diet of Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, Prince, Manu Chao and more, Kisa developed an ear for deep grooves across the spectrum. This eclectic foundation informs her sets, which seamlessly blend the soulful rhythms of highlife, the intoxicating sway of salsa, the infectious grooves of funk, and the transcendent melodies of gospel and broken beat.
