Bio
KRAANIUM is an extreme metal band formed in 2001 in Norway. They are widely regarded as pioneers of the slamming brutal death metal subgenre, blending punishing blast beats, crushing riff‑driven guitar work and intensely guttural vocals rooted in the underground metal scene. Over more than two decades, Kraanium built an international reputation with multiple albums and split releases, including their 2023 studio effort Scriptures of Vicennial Defilement on Unique Leader Records. They’ve toured extensively across Europe, North America and Asia and have embarked on tours that include Australia and New Zealand, cementing their status as a global force in extreme metal. Kraanium’s music is defined by extremely low‑tuned guitars, aggressive slam‑infused rhythms and relentless intensity—a hallmark of brutal death metal—and they have maintained a strong underground following with live performances at major extreme music festivals and club shows.
