Born in Mashhad, northeastern Iran, and raised in London, L&F's journey bridges two rich and contrasting worlds. Growing up immersed in Iranian traditions while navigating the diverse cultural landscape of London shaped his unique perspective and sound. Rooted in the bustling streets of Portobello Market, West London, L&F was surrounded by the lifeblood of the city’s music scene—pirate radio stations, record shops, underground clubs, and the legendary Notting Hill Carnival. These influences formed the foundation of his passion for music. “The British sound was raw and gritty. It was the voice of the streets—a reflection of our identity and a testament to true multiculturalism,” L&F recalls. Beyond DJing and producing, L&F founded +98, a UK garage label dedicated to forward-thinking music. The label’s mission is not just to push sonic boundaries but to champion inclusivity and cultural diversity within the music scene, using club culture as a powerful force for unity.
