Bio
La Etnnia is a pioneering Colombian hip hop group formed in 1984 in the Las Cruces neighborhood of Bogotá. Widely regarded as one of the founding acts of Colombian and Latin American underground rap, the group helped establish Spanish-language hip hop through socially conscious lyrics that address street life, inequality, violence, and everyday realities. Their music combines hard-hitting boom bap production with politically charged storytelling, earning them a lasting influence across the Latin hip hop scene. Over a career spanning four decades, La Etnnia has released numerous acclaimed albums through their independent label 5-27 Records and continues to tour internationally as one of the genre's most respected pioneers.
