Lena Douglas is a Melbourne‑born and Australia‑raised composer, pianist, vocalist and experimental pop/folk artist now based in Copenhagen. She emerged from Melbourne’s vibrant music scene as a classically trained pianist and keyboard player involved in bands such as electro‑pop outfit Tetrahedra and art‑rock ensemble Tulalah, and has toured and performed with a variety of ensembles across jazz, funk, soul and rock festivals. Lena’s solo work blends melodic, experimental pop with acoustic textures, vocal sampling and creative harmonic progressions, reflecting influences from jazz, contemporary folk and minimalist composition. Her solo releases include the EP Stockerz (2024), written during time spent living in Stockholm, which showcases her collage‑like approach to song form and expressive vocal techniques. Beyond her solo music, she is also a co‑founder of YoWo Music, a Melbourne‑based gender equality initiative that supports young women and gender‑diverse musicians by providing mentoring and performance opportunities.
