Bio
Local Suicide is a Berlin-based DJ and producer duo made up of Max Pask and Vamparela. Since forming in the late 2000s, they have built an international reputation for eclectic DJ sets and productions that blend indie dance, dark disco, house, techno, EBM, electro, and Italo disco. Drawing inspiration from post-punk, new wave, and underground club culture, the pair have become recognized for creating immersive dancefloor experiences that combine hypnotic grooves with melodic depth. After relocating to Berlin, Local Suicide became an integral part of the city's vibrant electronic music scene. Their adventurous approach to DJing and production has taken them to clubs and festivals across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. Whether performing intimate club sets or festival stages, they are known for seamlessly moving between genres while maintaining a distinctive dark and energetic sound. As producers, Local Suicide have released music on respected labels including Permanent Vacation, Nein Records, Roam Recordings, and their own imprint, Iptamenos Discos. Their productions fuse vintage synthesizers, driving basslines, and atmospheric textures, earning support from influential DJs throughout the global underground electronic community. In addition to their work as a duo, Max and Vamparela co-founded the project Dina Summer with vocalist Dina P., exploring a darker blend of darkwave, EBM, post-punk, and techno. The project has received widespread acclaim for its cinematic sound and has further established Local Suicide as versatile artists capable of bridging live performance and club culture. With a career spanning more than a decade, Local Suicide continue to push the boundaries of underground electronic music through innovative productions, genre-defying DJ sets, and a commitment to fostering new talent through their label. Their unique blend of indie dance, dark disco, and electronic experimentation has made them one of Berlin's most distinctive and respected electronic acts.
