Bio
Macseal is an American indie rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 2014. The band has become a respected name in the modern emo and indie scene through a combination of intricate guitar work, emotionally resonant songwriting, and energetic live performances. Macseal first gained attention with a series of independent EPs before releasing their debut album, *Super Enthusiast* (2019). Their sound blends the technical guitar interplay and unconventional rhythms of math rock with the melodic hooks and heartfelt lyricism of emo and indie rock. In 2024, they released their sophomore album, *Permanent Repeat*, further expanding their audience within the alternative music community. The band's lineup consists of Ryan Bartlett (vocals/guitar), Cole Szilagyi (vocals/guitar), Justin Canavaciol (bass), and Francesca Impastato (drums). Their music is often compared to contemporary emo and indie acts such as Oso Oso, Tigers Jaw, and Origami Angel.
