Manizha Dalerovna Sangin (born 8 July 1991 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan) is a Russian‑Tajik singer, songwriter, and performer who has become a prominent voice in contemporary pop and art‑pop music. She began her career as a child singer in 2003, later performing with groups like Ru.Kola, Assai, and Krip De Shin before establishing a successful solo career. Manizha’s music blends pop, electro, folk‑inspired rhythms, and art‑pop elements, often with bold, message‑driven lyrics. She gained international attention when she represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Russian Woman”, finishing 9th in the final. Apart from her music, Manizha is known for her activism — advocating against gender‑based violence, supporting LGBTQ+ rights, and working with humanitarian causes, including serving as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. In recent years her outspoken opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to performance restrictions in Russia.
