Bio
Matt Lang (born Mathieu Langevin) is a Canadian country singer-songwriter from Maniwaki, Quebec. He began writing and performing music as a teenager before developing a distinctly Nashville-influenced country sound. In 2018, Lang travelled to Nashville to record his first English-language EP, despite not yet speaking English fluently. His self-titled release quickly gained attention in Canada, and in 2019 he won SiriusXM’s **Top of the Country** competition. Known for his **warm, husky vocals and contemporary neo-traditional country style**, Lang draws inspiration from artists including Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam and Merle Haggard. His music blends traditional country elements with modern Nashville production. His albums include *More*, *Moonlight Sessions* and *All Night Longer*. He has built an international following through major Canadian festivals and tours, including performances at Lasso Montréal, Boots & Hearts and the Festival d'été de Québec, as well as appearances in the UK and Europe.
