Bio
Maximo Park is a British alternative/indie rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000. They are known for their energetic, literate style of indie rock and sharp, post-punk-influenced sound. The band rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with their debut album *A Certain Trigger* (2005), which included standout tracks like “Apply Some Pressure” and “Graffiti.” Their music is driven by fast-paced guitar work, punchy rhythms, and distinctive spoken-sung vocals from frontman Paul Smith. Over the years, Maxïmo Park have maintained a strong reputation in the UK indie scene, consistently releasing albums that blend melodic indie rock with post-punk revival and new wave influences. They have also toured internationally, including performances in Australia across festivals and headline shows.
