Bio
media puzzle (stylised all‑lowercase) is an Australian punk/egg‑punk band from Lismore, NSW, known for their high‑energy, DIY‑driven sound and impulsive songwriting style. The project is fronted by Tom Peter (vocals/guitar) and includes Kellie Eden (synth/trumpet), Eden Yeigh (guitar), Oliver Clarke (drums), and Solomon Jones (bass). Their music is characterised by short, punchy tracks that embrace punk urgency, humorous and satirical themes, and a raw, demo‑first production philosophy that favours spontaneity over polish. Named whimsically after the Melbourne Cup‑winning racehorse Media Puzzle, the band blends elements of punk, egg‑punk, synth punk and post‑ironic indie with offbeat lyrics that reflect life experiences, local culture, and DIY creativity. They’ve released multiple albums and EPs — including Intermission (2025) — that showcase a fusion of frantic beats, quirky hooks, and irreverent humor. Known for their spontaneous approach to writing and recording (often capturing songs in a single session) and their vibrant live shows, media puzzle have become a distinctive voice in Australia’s underground punk scene.
