Bio
Michael Marcagi is an American singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio, whose heartfelt blend of folk, Americana, and alternative music has quickly established him as one of the most promising new voices in modern American songwriting. After performing as the frontman of the rock band The Heavy Hours, he launched his solo career in late 2023 with the single "The Other Side," followed by the viral breakthrough "Scared to Start." Drawing inspiration from legendary storytellers such as John Prine and Jim Croce, Marcagi is known for his warm vocals, introspective lyrics, and emotionally resonant songwriting that explores themes of small-town life, relationships, nostalgia, and self-discovery. His subsequent releases, including *Midwest Kid* (2025) and his debut full-length album *Under the Streetlights* (2026), have further cemented his reputation as a rising star in contemporary folk and Americana. With a sound rooted in timeless American traditions while appealing to a new generation of listeners, Michael Marcagi continues to gain international recognition through sold-out tours and critically acclaimed releases.
