MICO, whose real name is Miguel Veloso, is a Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter and musician born on December 6, 2002, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is known for his emotionally expressive vocals, catchy melodies, and energetic blend of pop-punk and alternative pop-rock. He gained recognition through online music communities and independent releases, including his breakout single “cut my hair.” His music combines nostalgic 2000s pop-punk influences with modern alternative pop and hyperpop elements. In 2025, he signed with Columbia Records and continued expanding his international audience.
