Bio
Middle James is a DJ and production duo from Sydney, Australia, made up of Sam James Weeks and Connor James Mackenzie (they/them). United by a shared passion for house music, they formed the project in 2022 and have since been making waves with their deep, jazz‑infused house productions. Sam’s background as a saxophonist and Connor’s training as a pianist inform their creative approach, blending improvisational jazz elements with driving deep house grooves that sit somewhere between organic musicianship and dancefloor intensity. They’ve released music on labels like Miura Records and WIP Music, with tracks that have been featured in festival lineups and club events around Australia. Their sound draws on both musicality and club sensibility, creating energetic yet nuanced sets that reflect their roots in both live performance and electronic production.
