Originally from London, Millie Rose Dobree is a visual artist and DJ who has lived in Amsterdam and New York. Immersed in the vibrant club culture of the Dutch capital, she felt drawn back to the subcultural scenes spread across the UK. Delving into archived music and photos on platforms like YouTube and Flickr, she got into the 1990s rave scene around London and Sheffield in the early 2000s. Sampling and remixing are integral parts of both her artistic and DJ practices, exploring spatial tensions within her selections. Millie Rose Dobree has showcased her work and performed across Europe and the UK, collaborating and DJing at events with the labels Seedlink⁺ and Odyxxey.
