Missus Jones is an Amy Winehouse tribute band formed in November 2012. Their shows aim to honour Amy Winehouse’s music—not just by imitating, but by injecting their own energy, style, lightness, and stage presence. They perform a range of genres associated with Winehouse’s catalogue—Blues, Jazz, Ska, Reggae, R&B, Funk, and Pop. The band has been active for over 10 years, doing many live shows. Their shows often include a “mini-set” mid-performance where the background vocalists cover Disco, Funk, and Soul to get the dance floor engaged. Configurations vary depending on venue and production: at their maximum setup they use up to 10 musicians including full horn section, keys, drums, guitar, bass, two background singers, etc. One of the band members is Tym Brown, who has performed previously with other groups, done background vocals, etc.
