Bio
The band originally formed with members including Sean Kelly (guitar/vocals), Andrew Duffield (keyboards), and Janis Freidenfelds (drums). They released multiple albums, including “Out of Mind, Out of Sight” (1985), which spawned the hit single of the same name that reached #1 on the Australian charts. The Models were known for their catchy melodies, witty lyrics, and tight musicianship, combining the energy of post‑punk with pop accessibility. Over the years, The Models underwent several lineup changes but continued to influence Australian alternative and pop rock music. They have been recognized for their contribution to the Australian music landscape and continue to appear in reunion shows and festivals.
