Bio
Nervous Light is a Brisbane-based four-piece band creating a modern blend of post-hardcore, emo, punk, and alternative rock. Their sound combines emotional intensity with dynamic instrumentation, featuring shimmering guitars, synth and keyboard layers, cinematic textures, and bursts of heavy, discordant energy. They are known for crafting music that feels both nostalgically rooted in 2000s emo/post-hardcore (MySpace-era influences) and forward-thinking in its production and arrangement. Their style draws influence from bands like Saosin, Silverstein, Senses Fail, Underoath, and The Used, placing them firmly in the modern emo / post-hardcore revival space. They also incorporate elements of emo, pop punk, heavy music, and experimental production, giving their songs a cinematic and emotionally charged feel that stands out in the Australian heavy/alternative scene.
