Bio
One Dollar Short is an Australian punk rock band from the Central Coast of New South Wales, formed in 1998. The band became part of the early-2000s Australian punk and pop-punk wave, known for their fast, melodic sound and emotionally direct songwriting. They built momentum through early EPs like *From the Start* (1999), *Board Game* (2001), and *Press and Hold* (2001), which helped establish them in the Australian alternative scene. Their breakthrough came with their debut album *Eight Days Away* (2002), which peaked at #7 on the ARIA Albums Chart and included well-known tracks such as *“Is This the Part?”* and *“10 Years.”* The band followed up with their second album *Receiving Transmission* (2004), but later went on hiatus in 2005. They have since reunited for select shows in later years.
