Nuovo Testamento are a Los Angeles-based electronic trio formed by Chelsey Crowley, Giacomo Zano, and Andrea Mantione. They emerged in the late 2010s out of the international DIY and underground electronic scene, building a sound rooted in dark synth-pop, Italo-disco revival, and post-punk-influenced electronic music. The group developed through the modern underground club ecosystem, where artists often blend live performance aesthetics with DJ-friendly production. Early releases quickly positioned them within a wave of acts reinterpreting 1980s European dance and new wave styles through a contemporary lens. Nuovo Testamento’s music is characterised by a strong emphasis on rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional intensity, often combining nostalgic synth textures with modern electronic production. Their work reflects influences from Italo-disco, coldwave, and EBM-adjacent club music, but with a more pop-forward and accessible structure. They have become a notable name in the international alternative electronic scene, performing across clubs and festivals in Europe and North America, and gaining recognition for their distinctive blend of dancefloor energy and retro-futurist aesthetics.
