Oklou is the stage name of French singer, producer, and composer Marylou Mayniel. Classically trained and raised in rural France, she developed her musical identity online, blending her conservatory background with contemporary electronic pop influences. She first gained wider attention through internet-released material and her 2020 mixtape Galore, and later earned critical acclaim for her debut album choke enough. Oklou’s work merges meticulous electronic production with elements inspired by classical forms and digital-era aesthetics, resulting in an atmospheric, genre-blurring sound.
