Bio
Oran Ray – Artist Bio Oran Ray is a boundary‑defying drummer and electronic music artist based in Melbourne, Australia. His innovative sound blends live percussion, modular synthesis, and the improvisational spirit of jazz with the hypnotic energy of Berlin‑inspired techno and electronic music, creating immersive and unpredictable sonic journeys. Having lived in Berlin, Oran was deeply influenced by its underground electronic scene and the city’s rich rhythmic textures. Drawing on this experience, he fuses organic drumming with textured electronic landscapes, establishing a unique hybrid performance style that pushes the boundaries between live instrumentation and electronic production. A fixture in Melbourne’s experimental and electronic music community, Oran Ray continues to evolve his sound through bold, boundary‑pushing performances and recorded projects. He has released singles in the jungle and drum‑and‑bass sphere and is working on expanding his artistic voice for new audiences.
