Bio
Paper City is an indie pop/rock band from Huntington Beach, California, known for blending infectious pop songwriting with an indie rock edge. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Marisa Predisik, alongside bassist Ben Swenson and drummer Shelby Prendergast, the trio crafts bright, melodic songs inspired by the warmth of 1960s beach pop while maintaining a fresh, modern sound. Their music combines catchy hooks, jangly guitars, and breezy vocal harmonies, creating an uplifting style that balances nostalgic influences with contemporary indie sensibilities. The band debuted in 2013 with the singles "Summer of Love" and the EP *Island Holiday*, establishing a sound rooted in sunny melodies, polished arrangements, and timeless pop craftsmanship. Through their blend of vintage surf-pop influences and modern indie aesthetics, Paper City has built a reputation for feel-good, melody-driven music that appeals to fans of both indie pop and indie rock.
