Peanut Butter Wolf (Chris Manak) is an influential American DJ, producer, and the founder of Stones Throw Records, one of the world's most respected independent record labels. Emerging from California's underground hip-hop scene in the late 1980s, he first gained recognition through his partnership with Charizma before establishing Stones Throw in 1996 to champion innovative and genre-defying artists. Renowned for his eclectic DJ sets, deep record collection, and crate-digging culture, Peanut Butter Wolf has helped launch and support artists including Madlib, J Dilla, MF DOOM, and Knxwledge while remaining a globally respected figure in hip-hop and vinyl culture.
